From their tastefully restored family villa in the fairly genteel quarter of the Vomero—only a short funicular ride from the action downtown—owners Paolo and Patrizia lavish southern Italian hospitality on guests at this upscale bed-and-breakfast. For longer stays, try the self-catering flats. Hedonists will prefer the luxuriant Pompeii suite with its own indoor pool. Pros: On quiet side street, great attention to detail. Cons: Far from major sites, few good dining options nearby.
