Fodor's Finds Hotels
Book NowPalazzo Alabardieri Review
Just off the chic Piazza dei Martiri, Palazzo Alabardieri is the most fashionable choice among the city's growing number of smaller luxury hotels. Past an elegant stone passageway, a glittering, chandeliered marble-floored lobby opens its welcoming arms with florid flowers, baroque mirrors, painted murals, and shot-silk fabrics. Its impressive size makes the place seem bigger than it actually is, yet the Alabardieri maintains a feeling of discretion and intimacy. The hotel prides itself on its comfortable guest rooms, especially its marble bathrooms. While not one of the city's super-duper luxury hotels, this does have the most luxurious location of them all, just feet from the very heart of fashionable Naples, the Piazza dei Martiri and its top selection of shops and restaurants. For some, there is simply no other hotel in Naples.
