Although this establishment in the heart of Brera calls itself a birreria con cucina (beer cellar with kitchen), locals come here for excellent evening meals in relaxed surroundings. A soft current of jazz and sylvan decor soothe the ripple of conversation. The creative cooking varies with the season, but could include linguine al pescato (with a fish sauce); fritto di gamberi, zucchine e totanetti (fried shrimp, zucchini, and baby squid); or rognone alla senape (veal kidneys cooked in mustard).
