This deluxe bed-and-breakfast shares a reception and breakfast area with the Antica Locanda dei Mercanti around the corner. But its rooms are bigger—in fact they are big by Milan standards in general. Families should ask for Suite 4, with two rooms connected by a single entrance. Each room is tastefully furnished with individual color schemes and an appealing mix of modern and antique furniture. Although several features make this technically a hotel, it is more like staying in a Milan apartment. Though breakfast is served in the room at street level, the reasonable price (EUR 5) and homey feel make room service the almost universal choice. Pro: In a great neighborhood. Con: Some visitors may find it old-fashioned.
