Fodor's Review:

D'Annunzio's estate, Il Vittoriale, perched on the hills above the town, is an elaborate memorial to himself, filled with the trappings of conquests in art, love, and war (of which the largest is a ship's prow in the garden), and complete with an imposing mausoleum.

  • Open: Grounds: Apr.-Sept., daily 8:30-8; Oct.-Mar., daily 9-5. House and museum: Apr.-Sept., Tues.-Sun. 9:30-7; Oct.-Mar., Tues.-Sun. 9-1 and 2-5
