Grand Hotel Fasano Review

A former 19th-century hunting lodge between Gardone and Maderno, the Fasano has matured into a seasonal hotel of a high standard, with opulent, old-fashioned-style rooms and salons and many amenities. To one side you face the deep waters of Lake Garda; on the others you're surrounded by a 31,080-square-km (12,000-square-mile) private park where the original Austrian owners no doubt spent their days chasing game. Besides myriad activities on the water, there are two golf courses in the vicinity. The hotel recently opened a Roman-inspired wellness center and beauty farm stocked with Aveda products.
