Legendary violin maker Antonio Stradivari lived, worked, and died near the verdant square at No. 1 No. 1 Piazza Roma. According to local lore, Stradivari kept each instrument in his bedroom for a month before varnishing it, imparting part of his soul before sealing and sending it out into the world. In the center of the park is Stradivari's grave, marked by a simple tombstone.
