In even-numbered years, Good Friday fills Savona's streets with the Italian Riviera's most impressive Easter parade. Starting at 7:30 PM and throughout most of the night, 15 large wooden sculptural groups, representing the Passion of Christ, are carried through the town accompanied by two brass bands, three choirs, and a full orchestra. The rest of the year, you can see some of the sculptures in Oratorio Nostro Signore di Castello (Via Manzoni 1. 019/804892. Sat. 4-7 and by appointment) and Oratorio Cristo Risorto (Via Aonzo 1. 019/8386306. Sun. 8-noon, 4-7, and by appointment).
