Fodor's Review

For a tremendous view of the Boboli Gardens, look no further than this exquisite pensione near the Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. Simply furnished yet rather large rooms and a sunny breakfast room make this place cozy. In warm weather two flower-bedecked terraces are open; one has a stunning 360-degree view of Florence and provides a perfect spot to sip a glass of wine. During the warmer months, dinner can be had on that panoramic terrace, and you don't even have to

be a guest.

New management for a perfect stay in Florence

New management very helpful, courteous, and extremely-friendly staff. Very nice rooms (old italian style) in an amazing location in a Fifteenth-century "palazzo"in historic center (50 meters from the Old Bridge)at an incredible price.I will return to this hotel every time I visit Florence.

rooftop view of antennas

Scaletta was just O.K. Owner was quite severe and scarry!Staff was somewhat helpful. Room was on street side but surprisingly quiet once windows were shut.Beds were the worst in europe! Could use a better cleaning.Bathroom, of course, too small but great water pressure! Too many antennas on roof but view was nice,

Good value for 5

We had a large room with airconditioning. Though it didn't get very cold, it was a blessing in the heat. Room was very nice with modern plumbing. Location was good too, between Pitti palace and the shopping bridge.

Mama Leone Welcome's You!

Staying here was quite the experience! First of All, The Rooftop Gaden is Definitely worth the price of Admission. Views were breathtaking! The rooms are nice, though the beds are quite firm. The Location is great, right off the Ponte Vecchio. The staff is very peculiar, especially Mama Leone (the main owner who's actual name is Barbra Barbieri......who chews on some piece of tree bark everyday....weird! In the beginning, she scared both me and my

friends with her brute appearance. Though by the end of our stay, we all became very good friends. Because we grew so fond of her after our four day stay, we nicknamed her "Mama Leone". Hope you all get the chance to befriend the one they call "Mama" Buon Viaggio
