Museo Nazionale Alinari della Fotografia
Museo Nazionale Alinari della Fotografia Review
Housed in part of what was once an ancient hospice across the piazza from the church of Santa Maria Novella, this museum hosts temporary photography exhibitions in its two largest rooms. The rest of the ground floor and the long narrow hall upstairs hold part of the museum's vast permanent collection devoted to the history of photography. There are many old cameras of all sizes dating as far back as 1820, and special niches dedicated to specific camera models.
