Forget that the noise level here often reaches the pitch of the Tower of Babel, and ignore the generic urban decor. Come here for the food:chef Robbie Pepin, who's worked with such heavy hitters as Gordon Ramsey and Alain Ducasse, has breathed life into this very cool place. His cooking, while wholly Italian, has a crisp simplicity reminiscent of Japanese food. He can do just about everything, but shines with fish and shellfish. He takes the Florentine classic gnudi and tops it with prawns, calamari, and fresh tomatoes; it creates a beautiful blend in your mouth. The menu changes frequently, the wine list is divine, and service is exceptional.
