Fodor's Review

Florence has long been in dire need of a top-notch Asian restaurant, and now it finally has one. The imported-from-Shandong (in eastern China) Chi Hu, who's worked in China, Italy, Japan, and France, has brought his considerable skills to the table. You can watch men make dumplings right before your very eyes. The vast range of dumplings includes the classics (steamed, pork-stuffed) as well as Tuscan variations (beef with lardo di colonnata or truffled beef). But the place isn't limited to just dumplings: various rolls—from spring to Saigon—provide a perfect starting point, as does the cold two-seaweed salad. Noodle dishes, with noodles made right in front of you, are also on offer.
