From the outside, it looks very much like the turn-of-the-19th-century building that it is. Inside, sleek minimalism and up-to-the-minute amenities prevail. Sitting rooms have a funky edge, their cream-color walls dotted with contemporary prints. Muted colors dress the rooms, which have streamlined furniture and soaring ceilings; many have views of the Duomo's cupola or the Piazza della Repubblica. The deep marble tubs might be reason enough to stay here -- but you'll also appreciate the efficient and courteous staff.

Outstanding Rooms & Great Location

The room was spectacular -- large and well appointed. Some features were a walk-in closet, large bathroom with soaking tub, and top qiality bed linens. The concierge was most helpful with museum tickets and restaurant reservations. Just a bit expensive.RATING: 4.4
