The beauty of this place is that it does just about everything: it opens at 8 in the morning and closes at 10 in the evening (in the summertime). Festivities begin with breakfast, and end with evening aperitivi. Locals flock to this place, which once housed the aristocratic Rosa della Prati's art collection, to catch up on gossip, read the papers, and have lunch. Lunch includes local specialties (such as plates of mortadella and culatello), a soup of the day, sandwiches,
and tasty salads such as petto d'anatra affumicato con misticanza e vinaigrette all'arancia (smoked-duck-breast salad with mixed greens and an orange vinaigrette). The lengthy wine list includes something for all tastes, as does the equally extensive list of artisanal beers.
