Via Camerelle 2, Capri, Campania, 80073, Italy
Some say there are three villages on Capri: Capri Town, Anacapri, and this celebrated landmark hotel, which looms large in the island's mythology, drawing "didn't I meet you in Saint Tropez?" guests who wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. The lobby is enormous and the theater-cum-convention center is a 1930s jewel designed by noted modernist Gio Ponti. The "Quisi" also scores points for its restaurants, see-and-be-seen bars (plug into Capri's network of rich and famous at the Krug Lounge), and convenient location near the Piazzetta. The clientele is devoted, so even though this is Capri's biggest hotel, it's also the hardest-to-get reservation in high season.
