If your enthusiasm for overpriced seafood dishes is waning, La Tagliata has the answer: great antipasti, homemade pastas with rich tomato sauce, and meats grilled before your eyes in the dining room. (Ask for a porzioni piccole unless you are ravenous.) All this comes with endless views of the Amalfi Coast. The prices are reasonable, and include a jug of red wine. Aficionados will do better choosing their own bottle, however. Though it lies between Montepertuso and Nocelle, the restaurant will arrange a shuttle to pick you up from your hotel in Positano.

While this restaurant has a stunning view, the food is sub par, unfortunately. The menu was set, which is common in Italy, but the food just didn't make the cut. The antipasti were over-salted (and I like salt!), the pasta was cold, and the grilled meats I was really looking forward to, were not cooked properly. To say the steak was rare is an understatement. To top it off, the restaurant staff sang and shouted gleefully to each other (as well as the tables full of German tourists) throughout the evening; similar behavior to what you would find at a large American chain restaurant such as Red Robin. Fortunately, the bill was affordable; the only saving grace (besides the view) in this tourist trap.
