Majolica flooring in the 13th-century Monastero di Santa Chiara (on Via S. Chiara), now a closed order, is one special element; another is the matronaeum, or women's gallery, the only one left on the Amalfi Coast (not known for segregating the sexes, or anything else). You can visit this church for the early-morning Sunday service, but the wheel used to deliver food (and at one time unwanted children) to the nuns can be seen anytime.
