This small and friendly family-run restaurant, which is handy to the Piazzetta, has arched ceilings and lots of atmosphere; autographed photos of celebrity customers cover the walls. House specialties are gnocchi with tomato sauce and mozzarella and linguine ai gamberetti (with shrimp and tomato sauce).

We found the "owner" arrogant. Cover charge, for bread, was more than any other restaurant in the two wks we were in Italy. Glasses of house wine were exhorbitant. Plus, in addition to the 15% gratuity, there was an additional .68 euros, which, when we questioned, was "for the boss." Fish special was 14 euros and barely edible. Two Americans next to us cancelled the rest of their meal after having the fish and stated loudly as they walked out the door, "the fish was terrible."

Fell upon this restaurant on wandering the side streets of Capri and looked promising but the proprioter lost interest in us when he discovered we were not American ! Firstly he tried to fob us off with a bottle of wine at ¬ 65 which was over priced. He shouted at us when we said we werent interested. He also applied the famous service charge of 15 % but the service was so bad that I would not have tipped this high anyway. The main fault was that I had requested Ravioli and was served the famous Gnochi al pomodoro. He absolutely refused to accept this and said that as we were not Italians we did not know pasta like he did. The final straw was when the bill arrived and we were charged to gnochi and not Ravioli proving my point. He refused to accept this error and tried to talk over us. It was a most unpleasant dining exp and I would never set foot in the door of the place again which is trading on the famous photos outside the door of previous diners such as Jerry Springer, Teddy Kennedy and others. A fantastic find was Pulalli which over looks the bay and is right on top of the Piazetta beside the clock.
