By Air in The West

Aer Arann has five flights a day from London's Luton Airport and five a day from Dublin to Galway Airport (GWY). Aer Arann also flies to Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Lorient, and Liverpool from Galway. Ryanair flies to Knock daily from London's Stansted Airport and Luton Airport; flying time is 80 minutes. BmiBaby has several flights to Knock from Manchester daily.

Aer Arann flies hourly in July and August to the Oileáin Árainn (Aran Islands) from Connemara Airport in Inverin. Off-peak there are half a dozen flights a day, fewer in December and January. The flights call at all three Aran Islands. The journey takes about six minutes and costs about EUR 45 round-trip. The airline will book a B&B for you when you book your flight. Ask about other special offers, including scenic routes, at the time of booking.
