Burren View Farm Review

A million-dollar view awaits you at this modest, yellow, two-story B&B on the edge of Galway Bay, 5 km (3 mi) west of Kinvara—set on a working sheep and cattle farm, it's relatively isolated amid stone-walled fields dotted with sheep. The breakfast room, sun lounge, and front bedrooms look out across a wide sea inlet to the gray expanse of the Burren. Rooms are plain and homey but clean and well maintained. Spare some time for a chat with your hostess, Bridget O'Connor, a mature farmer's wife, imbued with folk wisdom. You can get an evening meal at the local pub, a five-minute walk away, or drive into Kinvara. Alternatively, Bridget will cook you an evening meal.

Bridget was a nice person, but the facilites were not. The room was musty, the bed uncomfortable, and water pressure in the add-on shower non-existent. The are some nice places to walk in the area, but it's hard to recommend the only place we were glad to leave during our holiday last summer.
