Fodor's Expert Review The Frank McCourt Museum
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This imposing redbrick building dating from 1814 was once the school attended by American-Irish author, Frank McCourt (1930–2009), best known for his "misery memoir" (later a movie) Angela's Ashes, the story of his impoverished Limerick childhood. See the actual classroom in use in the 1930s, posters and photographs of the Pulitzer Prize–winning author, and a replica of the McCourt home in this modest but oddly touching tribute.
