This traditional-style yellow house on the water's edge was built as a guesthouse by its owner-managers, Nuala and Cameron Heaton. The spacious lobby has a gas fire and large couches looking out to sea through the bay windows. All rooms are individually styled, with marble bathrooms, reproduction classic French-style antique furniture, plush carpets, tastefully coordinated drapes, flat-screen TVs, and waffle robes. Junior suites and deluxe rooms have extra space, and the best sea views. Breakfast is a major event here, with an extensive buffet of fruit, yogurt, cold meats, and local cheeses preceding the traditional fry. You can also opt for oatmeal served with Drambuie and cream, followed by locally caught fresh fish of the day, topped with a poached egg. To get here, drive through Dingle Town and out to its western fringe, following the signs for Slea Head. Pros: high standard of comfort and decor; ample parking; only a short walk from town. Cons: if it rains you'll be driving, not walking to nearest bars and restaurants; main road to Slea Head in front of the house can get busy at peak times.
