Cill Rialaig

Fodor's Review:

Outside Waterville and 1 km (½ mi) before Ballinskelligs, an Irish-speaking fishing village, is the Cill Rialaig, an artistic retreat. Here, a cluster of derelict stone cottages in a deserted village were given new life as artists' studios. Cill Rialaig attracts both Irish and international artists for residencies, and their work, and ceramics, metalwork, jewelry, and other handmade crafts are exhibited and sold at the attractively designed, beehive-shape store. There's also a coffee shop.
