Neill's Hill Brasserie
Neill's Hill Brasserie Review
Named after a long-forgotten railway station in East Belfast, this casual brasserie opened in 2012 and has established itself as a calming spot in buzzy Ballyhackmore, where lunchtimes can get crowded. Dishes change monthly but typical main courses for dinner include burgers, steaks, pork fillet, and sea bass from Walter Ewing, Belfast's top fish supplier. Brunches, starting at £3.50, include a malted waffle with fruit or bacon and maple syrup, scrambled eggs with Irish smoked salmon, or granola with fresh fruit and natural yogurt. Small plates such as Portavogie scallops with lentils and coriander or bread-crumbed mushrooms with garlic mayo are excellent value. Since you're in the area where they built the RMS Titanic, relax with a bottle of Titanic Iceberg beer or, if you prefer, a Belfast Blonde ale.
