Enniskillen Castle

Fodor's Review:

Enniskillen's main sight is the waterfront Enniskillen Castle, one of the best-preserved monuments in the north. Built by the Maguire clan in 1670, this stronghold houses the local history collection of the Fermanagh County Museum and the polished paraphernalia of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers Regimental Museum. A Heritage Centre—Fermanagh County Museum, with displays of pottery and lace—also stands within the curtilage of the castle.
