A ?1 million makeover in 2010 has helped revamp some of the tiredness of the guest rooms in this city center hotel—once you get past the forbidding warehouselike exterior, new furnishings and carpets in muted shades of cream, beige, green, and aubergine await the visitor. The spacious lobby creates a welcoming feel. Some rooms overlook College Square, the cricket lawn of the 1814 Royal Belfast Academical Institution. The Jurys Inn restaurant serves well-prepared hotel food and Jurys Bar offers a full menu with daily specials such as beef ciabetta with sauted onions or chicken curry.
