Holiday Inn Belfast

  • Price range: $$-$$$
  • Location: Belfast

Fodor's Review:

Expect outstanding facilities at a reasonable price. Furnishings are modernist blond wood and leather, and rooms are best described as Japan-meets-Sweden: they have strong, simple colors and sliding wooden screens (a lovely touch) instead of curtains. The funky menu at the Junction bar includes goat cheese penne, scampi, and a selection of deli sandwiches. They have a great-value "Discover Belfast" deal offering two nights' bed-and-breakfast with dinner, and a city-sightseeing bus tour thrown in for £99 per person. The hotel is superbly located, only a 10-minute walk to the city center and five minutes to the Golden Mile. Pros: good value deals on offer; health club and facilities are top-notch; the hotel is directly opposite the BBC studios so you may spot TV celebrities. Cons: queues at busy times at check-in and check-out; no car-parking spaces available.
