Victorian Grisly
Most of Belfast's landmarks were built during the reign of Queen Victoria. Once considered unappealing—"Victorian Grisly" was the epithet used by more than one critic—today they are marvelous remnants of an age that considered show, pomp, and circumstance paramount. Most of these buildings are found within 20 blocks of each other and a time-travel walk can hit many of them, including City Hall, Linen Hall Library, the Grand Opera House, Crown Liquor Saloon, Ulster Hall, St. Malachy's Church, Albert Memorial Clock Tower, and St. Anne's Cathedral.
