Damson Diner

Damson Diner Review

American–Asian fusion cuisine in a retro-1950's diner with a modern twist: it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, but the new Damson Diner has been an instant hit on the Dublin dining scene. The place looks beautiful—three stories of chrome, glass, banquettes, and flood of natural light. The cool atmosphere is key, with relaxed, humorous but attentive staff, and a lively crowd fueled by to-die-for cocktails and fast but thoughtful dishes. The menu is roughly divided into "In a Bowl," "Bites," and "From the Grill," with the grilled sea bream with bok choy and the Louisiana crab cakes nice alternatives to the knockout steaks and burgers. The long bar is a top spot for people-watching.
