Eden

Fodor's Review

A favorite haunt of arty and media types, Eden has an open kitchen, a high wall of glass through which you can observe one of Temple Bar's main squares, and patio-style doors that lead to an outdoor eating area—a major plus in a city with relatively few alfresco dining spots. On weekend nights in summer you can enjoy an outdoor movie in Meeting House Square while you eat. Seasonal menus are in vogue here, but standout dishes include Castletownebere scallops with crispy

potato cake, creamed leeks, and prawn bisque. Desserts include a tempting Belgian hot chocolate pudding.

Great dinner spot in Dublin

Our best dinner in Ireland was at Eden in Dublin. Excellent food and service. Although the immediate Temple Bar area is loud and touristy, Eden has a great atmosphere and high quality food.

Food is heaven in Eden

I went to Eden with my boyfriend for a meal and it was a great expreience. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and had a nice atmosphere. We started off with delicious starters I had mussels which were lovely and for main course I had a perfectly cooked and tasty steak and he had monkfish which he reported as lovely. There were a decent of vegetables and potatoes and chips and we both really enjoyed out main course. However, the hightlight

was the dessert. I was full after my steak so didn't order anything but after tasing my boyfriend's white chochlate parfait I had to ask the waiter to get me one too, it was the most gorgeous dessert. For the service and food the price, although expensive, was worth it and I would certainly recommend this restaurant. I am currently looking for somewhere to briong him for his birthday and I wish I could just head back to Eden!

A good choice

We enjoyed this place immensley. We were seated near the open kitchen. While probalby not the ideal location, it was fun watching the activity in there and the interaction between the staff. A very busy place indeed. The food is superb (the lamb was wonderful, as was the rhubard creme brulee), the place is lively and fun. Highly recommended.
