Book NowThe Morrison Hotel Review
To make a Dublin hotel instantly trendy all you need do is let the country's top fashion guru—John Rocha—have the last word on nearly everything in an 18th-century Georgian mansion, down to the toiletries and staff uniforms, then wait until the seriously designed elements fuse to become an über-modern, trendsetting hotel. Past the historic facade, a new feng shui-inspired refurbishment adds a touch of Japanese elegance to the existing unfussy, almost Scandinavian style. The Georgian Suites have a warmer feel, thanks to wooden floors and large windows over the Liffey. Some visitors complain that the place leaves them a little cold, though others claim that in trying to be too cool the Morrison is as good as a London boutique hotel, though many times the size. The Morrison bar is still a place to be seen by Dublin's young nighthawks attracted to its chilled, loungy feel. Halfway between the Ha'penny and Capel Street bridges, the Morrison is no more than a 10-minute walk from Trinity College.
