Fodor's Review

Glowing with gilded chandeliers and graced with a few marble fireplaces, this American-style steak house in a restored Georgian town house offers a sleekly elegant setting in which to chow down on some of the most tender Irish Angus beef this side of the Atlantic (they cook it in a special high-temperature oven, searing the outside to keep the inside good and juicy). If steak doesn't float your boat, they also do a mean baked turbot with mussels, clams, and creamed fennel and leek. Oreo-cookie-crust cheesecake is the perfect way to finish off the feast, but many will consider the decor—think sash windows, gilt mirrors, and plush carpets—rich enough.

Excellent steaks and stunning atmosphere

This is probably the best steak in Dulin and you will pay for it...but its worth the experience. i went for my Birthday last June and we could never ask for such wonderful service and a stunning meal. We had Champagne in the Oval office which is a bar doenstairs and waiting area. You can eat here too but not as nice as upstairs. We were led to the first floor to a lovely table facing an outsoor roof garden it seemed. I Split the Ceasar salad

for a was HUGE...all postions here are massive compared to european portions. I also had the filet steqk and we ordered sides of creamed corn and onion rings. I have never seen onion rings like this very thin on a mound of them and so tasty. Again there was loads in one portion. I skipped desert and the came out with 4 glasses of champagne on the house and a plate of small chocs for me. The service is not stuffy and very fun and friendly. It was a highlight meal of last year for me. Its pricey and you must book well in advance. Loved it!
