Fodor's Review

Ruddy with red brick and brightened by white-sash windows, the exterior hints at the comfy luxury that lies within, and the location—off College Avenue in an undistinguished suburb—is forgotten as soon as you cross the threshold. Beyond a splendid, carved-wood double staircase, the drawing room is a symphony of gilded silk, with a white-marble fireplace, a 19th-century chandelier, and chic armchairs, a surprisingly soigné modern homage to country-house style. The

wood-paneled library overlooks a walled patio and garden. Guest rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished in a version of the Louis XV style. Orchids is the main restaurant, Perrott's Garden Bistro is a casual alternative, and the Victorian-style bar serves bar food until 5 pm.

Hayfield Manor Review

Had we stayed more than one night we would have definitely taken advantage of the restaurants and the spa, but we had a very short visit. The staff really stood out for their attentive and charming service. We had an exceptionally large room with a lot of nice extras like a DVD player, CD player and Nepresso machine. The breakfast was absolutely elegant. The whole place could use a decor update, but it was immaculately clean and worth the price just

for the service alone.

I was fortunate to stay at the Hayfield Manor for 2 weeks while on business, and I couldn't have been happier. The staff allowed me to look at several rooms before I settled on a top floor beauty overlooking the garden area. The rooms are all uniquely decorated. The one I chose was very large and beautifully furnished, with a huge bathroom containing double sinks and separate shower and claw foot tub. The immaculate linen sheets were such a treat

! The staff was very gracious. The atmosphere is calm elegance. The common rooms are lovely. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Cork.

What a great place!!

The actual town leaves a lot to be desired, but this small hotel made up for it. Everything from the room to the restaurant was first class!!! It is a great point to start out from in Ireland. Spend several nights here and then drive the scenic West Cork route back up Ireland. If you stay here, you will NOT be disappionted! My husband is the Ritz and Four Season's type. He just fell in love with this hotel!

An Oasis in Cork

What a pleasant surprise! Hayfield Manor turned out to be one of the better hotels we stayed at while touring Ireland. The staff really makes this place special. They always had a smile and were willing to go the extra mile if you needed something. My kids were won over by the milk and cookies that were brought to their room every night. That is class! The rooms were comfortable and the workout facility was superb. Also, if you want a little quiet

time to read, go the bar, get yourself a drink and then go to the library to sit in front of a fire to read your favorite book. We were really impressed by the Hayfield Manor and definitely will stay there again the next time we visit Cork.
