Fodor's Review:
Friendly, lively, and convenient, Benedict's stands out on Shaftsbury Square. Rooms on the second floor are bright and colorful, and have wooden floors; rooms on the third floor are darker, with an Asian influence -- dark wood and light walls, simple but comfortable. If you don't feel like straying too far from your home base for some nightlife, Benedict's has a buzzing bar and restaurant serving finely done Continental food. They have a "beat the clock" promotion on their menu: a rib-eye steak with champ potatoes and brandy sauce, for instance, is usually £14 but order it up 5:30-7:30 PM and it's only £5.50.
