Although this distinguished redbrick Victorian building has only 12 rooms, it has big-hotel amenities, including a spacious lobby, extensive exercise facilities, and two restaurants -- one Chinese and one that serves healthy, local cuisine (traditionalists won't be disappointed, however, as fried food can be had). The hotel's color scheme is a distinguished, executive-style gray, enlivened with plenty of greenery, and a waterfall splashes down parallel to the stairway. Although not exceptional, the rooms are modern and comfortable, decorated in neutral shades. The lively bar is popular with staff and students from nearby Queen's University.
