Tipping

Tipping is not customary in Iceland. Service charges for just about any service in restaurants, hotels, and on tours are included in the prices, and service employees are paid a decent living wage. Service employees do not "work for" tips; if they provide extraordinary service that you want to recognize with a tip, it's generally appreciated, but it's not expected.
