Fodor's Review:

Built in 1896, the sparkling Vígszínház is the pride of the Hungarian theater world, seating over 1,000 people. The theater hosts modern European and American plays from playwrights such as Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams, and Friedrich Dürrenmatt, but always in Hungarian. The theater is also a venue for musicals, such as Hungarian translations of West Side Story and a musical version of the Jungle Book.
