Náncsi Nénivendégloje Review

"Auntie Nancsi" has built a loyal following by serving up straightforward, home-style Hungarian dishes in rustic surroundings. Chains of paprika and garlic dangle from the low wooden ceiling above tables set with red-and-white gingham tablecloths. Big tables of Hungarian families can be found here on summer weekends enjoying well-prepared Hungarian food. Sunday chicken soup and catfish paprika are well-loved by regulars. Try the popular túrógombóc (sweet cheese dumpling) dessert; it's the biggest and best in town. There is a garden dining area open during warmer months, when reservations are essential.

Over rated (especially the turos gomboc)

The atmosphere is very pleasant especially during the summer when the tables are outside under old trees. There is a wonderful playground for young children so it is ideal for families.
The food is mediocre - the turos gomboc is terrible - this is the second review I read that mentions this particular dish. Being Hungarian and because that is one of my favorite deserts, I consider myself qualified to say that the chef should consult another cook book!
The waiters don't seem to have much patience with guests who have a hard time making decisions.
