Book NowDanubius Health Spa Resort Helia Review
While this well-known spa hotel's upriver location offers a less hectic pace, it also positions you in an uninteresting neighborhood among depressing, Soviet-era housing blocks. So choose the Helia for what's inside. The spa facilities are the most spotlessly clean in Budapest, and an on-site medical clinic caters to English-speaking clients. Rooms are reasonably spacious and kitted out in IKEA-influenced, Scandinavian style. To make the most of the location, request a room on the Danube side with a downriver view. All rates include unlimited use of the thermal bath and free parking. The town is a few stops south on Bus 79.

The hotel on Marit Island is nice with pleasant helpful staff, but is inconvenient if one wants to enjoy Budapest in the evenings. However the food is terrible. All the meats on the daily buffet are precooked reheated hard dry and usually cold. The salad bar has the same lettuce cucumber tomato and pepper every day.Breakfast is the same cold scrambled eggs. Unacceptable for the price charged.
