Fodor's Review:

The opening of the Gresham Palace, the city's first true five-star hotel, brought world-class dining to Budapest. The hotel's premier restaurant is everything you'd expect from the Four Seasons chain: discreet luxury in a unique and historic building. The international menu hardly let's you know you're in Hungary, but the food is so expertly prepared you're willing to settle for the breathtaking views of the Chain Bridge and Budapest Castle as a reminder. Service is friendly but white-glove all the way. The menu changes frequently and there's usually a five or six course prix-fixe option. For a truly memorable evening, splurge here and begin your evening with an aperitif in the bar or adjacent Art Nouveau arcade.

This is THE location in Budapest. Gresham Palace is BEAUTIFUL, and at the Pava Restaurant you'll find great, albeit pricey, food. Pricey was expected though. Service here is close to impeccible, provided you don't ask any questions the waiter finds to be stupid. Although ours did seem pretty proud of himself, the food was something to be proud of. Try the risotto starter with asparagus! Enjoy the view of the Chain Bridge. But do be prepared to be asked more than once whether you want another course or 2. Overall, I think the best "fine dining" we had in Budapest.
