Echoes of true, old Pest are preserved in this once-crumbling—now imaginatively refurbished—18th-century apartment building. In typical Budapest style, rooms open off an inner courtyard shared with the private building next door, where thick, green ivy spills over wrought-iron railings. In the guest rooms daylight filters discretely through sheer curtains and homey brown wood window frames. Decor is a soothing mix of dark wood and sage-colored textiles. Only some bathrooms have tubs, but all have heated towel racks. The breakfast room's stone walls are covered by a central glass skylight. Stepping out to the street through the heavy wood door, you find yourself in the heart of inner Pest, just two blocks from the Opera House.

This was a great hotel for us. The location was convenient, right off Andrassy ut, but away from the street noise.
The interior courtyard was bright and welcoming; this was where breakfast was served. Breakfast was the usual huge assortment, and included meats, cheeses, breads and muesli (and other items that I didn't eat). The coffee was quite horrid, though.
Our room, a triple, was HUGE, the size of a conference room, and looked newly decorated and furnished. Its windows looked onto the interior courtyard.
We would definitely stay here again!
