Of all the see-and-be-seen cafés in Budapest, Vian was among the first to gain wide renown after the fall of the Iron Curtain (a status it continues to hold much of today), partly because of its unbeatable spot in the heart of Liszt Ferenc tér. It's a great place to while away the hours chatting and people-watching, either inside and surrounded by an ever-changing exhibit of modern art, or outside under a canopy in summer.
