2 Best Nightlife in Thessaloniki and Central Macedonia, Greece

Baobab

Kentro Fodor's choice
Minimalist bar where the people take center stage over the decor. As the night intensifies so does the music, which morphs from easy-on-the-ear jazz, afro beat, and soul to dance-inducing electric sounds. If you're into good sounds look no further as the late-night live DJs are the bees knees. The cocktails aren't too bad either.

Mylos

Sfageia Fodor's choice

Mylos, in a former mill on the southwest edge of the city, has been perhaps the best venue in Greece for jazz, folk, and pop acts, both Greek and foreign, for the last 25 years. This fabulous complex of clubs, bars, and ouzeri-tavernas, as well as art galleries and a concert stage, shows how a respectful architectural conversion can become a huge success. Don't miss the Xylourgeio stage, which has some of the best alternative acts around. The lively place starts to get busy as early as 11 pm.
