Kentro and Ladadika

Exploring the area from the White Tower west along the seaside to Aristotelous Square reveals icons of the city's history: grand monuments of Emperor Galerius, artifacts from the Neolithic period through the Roman occupation housed in the Archaeological Museum, and prominent churches, as well as the city's most important landmark, the tower itself. The lively shopping streets, bustling markets, and caf├ęs of the Kentro (City Center) and adjacent areas reward you with the unexpected encounters and sensual treats of a great city. A stroll along the recently developed seafront is also enjoyable and a good way to walk off a big lunch. Walking eastwards along the promenade, the landscaped areas and lush gardens are found at the end towards the concert hall. If you're feeling sporty, then join the locals who come here for a jog.
