This eatery serves up the standard appetizers of any mezethopoleon (restaurant specializing in small dishes); grilled meats, fried fish, salads, and dips. Run by the boisterous Panayiotis and located on lovely Athonos sqaure, it's a great place to come for a musical dinner reminiscent of the Thessaloniki of times gone by. Prices are on the cheap side, so it throngs with locals and students who go to indulge their vocal chords as much as their pallets, sipping on
ouzo or house wine while munching on specialties such as "grandma's meatballs," dished up in a rich tomato sauce, as they sing old Greek standards.
