Lovingly renovated by well known architect Dimitris Tsitsos in 2007 and transformed into a top-class boutique hotel, Mandraki Village offers a gratifyingly familial holiday ambience in a setting of easy luxury and designer charm. Accommodations are separated into eight buildings (the "village") themed by warm, bright, and summery shades—think delicate amber yellow, eggshell blue, and carnation pink—surrounded by an expansive garden of lemon trees and Mediterranean flowers. The lobby alone is like a valium, with gorgeous furniture, pale-on-pale shades, and pillows done in couture fabrics. Family-friendly, the hotel has a children's playground and pool. In true boutique hotel tradition, Mandraki also hosts exhibitions by local artists—along with purchasing its own label water, famously soft pillows, and beach towels, you can take home some Greek art.
