By most visitors’ standards, Spetses town is small—no larger than most city neighborhoods—yet it’s nevertheless divided into districts. You will arrive in Dapia, the modern harbor. Kastelli, the oldest quarter, extends toward Profitis Ilias and is marked by the 18th-century Ayia Triada Church, the town’s highest point. The area along the coast to the north is known as Kounoupitsa, a residential district of pretty cottages and gardens with pebble mosaics in mostly nautical motifs. A water-taxi ride here from Costa, across the channel on the mainland, takes about 15 minutes.
