Yorgos Vidalis's café and restaurant occupies the prettiest and best-kept neoclassic building on Evangelistria street, which is closed to traffic. Its second- and third-floor terraces overlook the Turkish fountain and the passing scene, Tinos's liveliest during shop hours. Marble stairs lead to rooms with elegant furnishings in pastel colors. The second-floor café, open all day, serves snacks and drinks. The third floor is an excellent restaurant. You might start with the ambrosia salad and follow it with burger á la crème (with mushrooms and basmati rice). His mixed plates, combining local meats and vegetables, are perfect to accompany an ouzo on the terrace. The wine list is big and Greek.
