Abram Village Review

If you love island nature and dislike crowds, this is your place—set on Naxos's northern coast (the developers only moved in a few years ago when the road was finally paved), Panyiotis Albertis's rooms and villas recline in a green garden on beautiful Abram beach: the scenery is extraordinary and there are many coves with beaches. Most of the accommodations here are rooms, with no TV, air-conditioners (it's cool), or telephones; in addition, there are two villas (which have all these amenities and sleep up to eight; they run about €160); both rooms and villas have balconies with sea views. The inexpensive restaurant, where Panyiotis's mother and wife cook, features traditional food from local products. Tiliktera (meatballs with eggplants and spicy sauce) is especially good—and the rosé wine and raki are Panyiotis's own.
