Marco Polo Mansion Review

Entering this renovated 15th-century Ottoman mansion in the maze of the Old Town's colorful Turkish section is like stepping into another world: individually styled guest rooms are painted in deep-hue, warm colors, with Oriental rugs and rare Eastern antiques (including large beds draped with translucent canopies) adorning the pitch-pine floors and embroidered cushions beckoning from low sofas. One room occupies a hamman, while some are tucked away amid greenery in the lush gardens. The public is welcome to enjoy the excellent dinners served in the garden in good weather. It's no wonder this fit-for-a-Sherahadzade hotel has been featured in glossy magazines.
